Tom received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. He received a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry in Evangelism and Church Growth from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the Associate Pastor and Minister of Youth at Neptune Baptist Church in Neptune Beach, Florida for 12 years and the Minister with Single Adults at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, Tennessee before coming back to Neptune Baptist Church as the pastor in the fall of 1996. He and his wife Karen have four children, a son and three daughters.
Shelly worked for many years in the dental field. She worked on staff at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville for 19 years. Her last position in the Preschool Ministry was as Weekday Director for the church. In 2008, while on a mission trip to Spain, God called Shelly to move outside her comfort zone and take a step into a broader ministry. Later in 2008, she joined the staff of Neptune Baptist Church. Shelly met her future husband, Mike, when they were both in the youth group at First Baptist. After dating for five years, Shelly and Mike were married. Mike owns and operates Mike Brown Plumbing Company, Inc. Mike and Shelly have three boys - Zachary, Dillon and Hunter - share their life with their dog, Jack.
Greg played football at Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University. He graduated from Valdosta State University with a B.A. in History and received his Master of Arts in Christian Leadership from Liberty Theological Seminary. Greg has done mental health counseling, coached football and served on staff of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Hiram, Georgia, and the Lost Mountain Baptist Church near Atlanta, Georgia. He also was a curriculum writer and worked with the middle school of West Ridge Church North of Atlanta. Greg was called to serve here at NBC three years ago.Greg's wife Amanda works for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. Together they have two children, daughter Riley and son Tanner, as well as their little dog, Roxy.
After getting a BA in psychology from the University of North Florida, Tanya attended Southwestern Theological Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity degree. She has been the Minister to Students at Amelia Island Baptist in Fernandina Beach, Celebration Baptist Church in Yulee, Florida and St. John's Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida. She was also the director of Centrifuge for two years for the Baptist Sunday School Board. She is a popular Women's ministry speaker and is an aspiring author. Tanya has been in ministry for 19 years. The last 12 have been here at NBC. She was the Minister to Students before becoming the Minister of Education and Evangelism. She and her husband Ryan have two children, their son Caleb and daughter Sarah Jane.
Alan worked for the Florida Baptist Convention for seven years. While on staff at the state convention, Alan won the Telly Award for his video productions. Alan traveled from Montana to Haiti filming and producing videos on missions and ministry. As he produced videos, God began moving in his life and he fell in love with the local church. Alan served on staff at San Jose Baptist Church from 1998 through 2004. In 2004, Alan joined the staff of Neptune Baptist Church. Here at NBC, Alan oversees all of the worship ministries. He plans the traditional and contemporary services, does the music for the adults and students on Wednesday nights, and leads Christmas, Easter, and other special choir presentations. He is responsible for all of the musical, dramatic and visual arts programs at the church. Alan and his wife Amy have a son, Jacob, and a daughter, Jessica. Amy sings on the Praise Team and in the choir. Alan's mom and dad, Fred and Betty, complete their family and they share it with their dog, Sunny.
